Why I’m Not Stuck On AlertPay

I tried it. I don’t like it.

I’m talking about AlertPay, a competitor to PayPal.

While PayPal has some irritations, AlertPay has just really pissed me off. I started my Neobux business almost a year-and-a-half ago. After earning my first $2 I had it transferred to my AlertPay account. At the time, Neobux wasn’t equipped to send money to PayPal. I really wanted my Neobux business so I opened an AlertPay account, but AlertPay has held my $2 hostage for over a year now.

I originally had the money sent to AlertPay to test Neobux to make sure they actually pay. The transaction satisfied that curiosity.

It’s really quite ridiculous. Like PayPal, AlertPay requires you to have your account verified with a bank account in order to send money anywhere (and you can only send $5 or more). I had my AlertPay account verified to my bank about a year ago, but since I didn’t have $5 in the account I didn’t worry about the $2 measly I had in there. But recently I thought I’d have that money transferred back to my Neobux account so I could use it to continue growing the business. I deposited over $3 into AlertPay from Neobux for that purpose. Oops, they still have it.

Here’s the problem. I have to verify my bank, which I thought I’d already done. In fact, inside of my AlertPay account my bank account shows up as an account. I did it again just to be on the safe side. But it takes a week for AlertPay to send a penny to your bank to verify it. That’s frustrating. Now I have to wait to gain access to my $5 just so I can use it, even though I don’t intend to send it to my bank. I’m going to transfer it back to my Neobux account.

I don’t know if anyone else has experienced this frustration with AlertPay, but it just tells me that I won’t be using the service. I’ll have all my Neobux money sent to PayPal from here going forward. I recommend that you do too.
