Are You Making Headway?

When you’ve been blogging as long as I have you come to expect certain things in a theme. I’m proud to say that I purchased a premium theme, which I use for this blog and several others. The theme is called Headway.

There are lots of reasons I like Headway. I like it because it is SEO friendly. Not only is it SEO friendly, but as themes go, it is SEO heaven. There is no need to tweak the code to make the theme better for search engine optimization. The theme developer has done that for you.

One of the ways that Headway improves your site’s SEO is through its post and page optimization feature. The developer took the All In One SEO Pack plugin for WordPress and built it into the Headway system. That means one less plugin to manage and every post and page automatically gets meta data.

Headway also has an option to make all your URLs canonical. That’s a big plus.

Customization Is Easy With The Headway Premium Blog Theme

Headway is also completely customizable. This is no joke. Using Headway to build your own theme is like designing your own theme from scratch without having to code your blog to do it. Did I mention you don’t need to know any code?

With Headway’s visual editor, you can edit your pages and make them look the way you want them to look using WYSIWYG technology. Create your “leafs”, size them, give them their own unique attributes and place them on the page right where you want them using Headway’s dynamic visual page editor. No coding, no guesswork and no hours of fiddling and twiddling with details to make it all look right (of course, there is a small learning curve).

Another thing I like about Headway is the ease with which you are able to create your own hooks. Headway actually has a place for you to enter your hooks so that you don’t have to find the right file or folder to work in. Just use the drop down menu to find the location of your hook and enter the code in the Write box. Presto, instant hooks!

I haven’t used every premium theme on the market, but I’ve used a few of them and Headway is by far my favorite. It is an excellent theme for non-coders and designers. It’s easy to use, fun and versatile. I highly recommend Headway for any serious blogger who wants a unique blog theme.
